Journal 1

Growing up, I was an extremely introverted person. I was the kid, naturalize term in the back row, who neer raised her hand. In concourse assignments, I would refrain from speaking out. And, I never volunteered to clue group projects. As an adult, I still sneak at the opinion of showcasing my leadership skills. A few long time ago, I was enrolled in a course where the students were in tuition of oversight the upcoming theater production. The director asked me to be the lay out managing director. I paused for what seemed like an eternity, and I accepted the position. Being power point private instructor is a very challenging position. non only did I have to assist the director and actors, I had to ensure the dot crew, designers, and technicians completed their tasks. At the beginning of pre-production, I designated tasks to everyone. This years production was non technically advanced as others, so I assumed everyone would have no puzzle finish their tasks. By th e end of the first week, I effected non much had been completed. With only 3 more weeks of pre-production, I had to tax and resolve the situation quickly. My first assumption was that everyone was not victorious their responsibility seriously. My second assumption was that there were not teeming resources for everyone to complete their tasks. My third assumption was that I was a portentous leader and everything was my fault. After rehearsal one night, I asked the aid stage manager if there were any issues. free to say, the assistant had no clue why I asked. I discussed how we were run behind. And, I realized that my relationship with the assistant stage manager and crew was dictating the flow of pre-production.
